DSAM-1000A
With the DSAM the CM installer has got a powerful tool for the installation of triple play services.
In the past he tested the RF line by sweeping with a handheld sweep tester on the outlet side to a sweep transceiver at the head-end. The DSAM enables to simulate the customer’s CM by programming into the DSAM the MAC address of an existing modem. At the head-end the DOCSIS CMTS is used as corresponding unit for the measurement.
An automatic DOCSIS test routine checks all important paraMETERS for a trouble-free internet service. Additionally to the DOCSIS tests you can perform all traditional tests like level, spectrum, miniscan. The DSAM meets all requirements of the installer. Optional software for the analysis of the test results and for easy data transfer is available.
Adding the VoIP check option the DSAM becomes a triple play test set also applicable for telephony.
