2500 Frequency
The DisplayMax Jr 2500 is a rugged, easy to use signal
level meter capable of measuring analog and digital
channels at any point in the CATV system from the
headend to the subscriber drop. In addition to signal
level, the Jr 2500 also tests the shielding properties of
the coax. Why is the shielding important? Bad shielding
allows unwanted signals (ingress) to enter the return
path and disrupt digital services such as VoIP and High-
Speen Data. The Jr 2500 incorporates an automatic
ingress test that allows the installer to check the entire
home from the ground block or tap. If ingress is detected,
a leakage detector is helpful in fi nding the point
of entry. A leakage detector can be added by upgrading
to a Jr 3000.
